Virtual pg-800 programmer for roland mks-70 / jx-8p / jx-10. This software is a Virtual PG-800 synthesizer programmer for use with the ROLAND MKS-70, JX-8P, or JX-10 hardware. It emulates the hardware editor in a software environment within the APPLE LOGIC audio/sequencer program (formerly Emagic Logic). Launched in 1985, the innovative JX-8P took analog a step further with capabilities that could generate tones associated with digital synthesizers, making it highly versatile. With the JX-8P Model Expansion, we reintroduce the unique voice of this sought-after classic for the first time ever. The PG-8X is inspired by the Roland JX-8P with the PG-800 programmer. You can make some amazing analogue style sounds with it, including string ensembles, cool pads, huge bass sounds, which is what I like most about it, and more.
Editor for Roland JX8P. Use Sysex. Patches can be saved and loaded to/from disk (.syx).

Being released in the middle of the digital synth revolution the JX8P was very sparse in design so the optional PG800 programmer was also available for those wanting to tweak. It was heard on many tracks during the period and used by such luminaries as 808 State, Tangerine Dream, The Shamen, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Go West, Jean-Michel Jarre, Europe, and Jimmy Jam.
